When Eastnets, a global leader in compliance and payment solutions, approached Hypaspace, they were facing significant issues with their marketecture diagram. The existing design was overloaded with excessive detail, making it difficult to grasp the core message at a glance. This lack of clarity not only hindered understanding but also made the diagram less effective as a high-level visual tool.
Additionally, inconsistent use of colours, fonts, and styles gave the diagram an unpolished and unprofessional appearance. The tools used to create it further compounded the problem, producing low-quality graphics that lacked scalability and adaptability. Most critically, the diagram didn’t align with Eastnets’ broader business goals or effectively communicate their strategic priorities. It was also static and inflexible, limiting its usability across multiple formats, such as web, print, and presentations. These challenges highlighted the need for a comprehensive redesign that could address these shortcomings while enhancing the diagram’s overall impact and versatility.
Designing with Cross-Team Insights
Hypaspace worked closely with Eastnets’ product, sales, and marketing teams to fully understand the diverse needs and priorities of the business. Through a series of meetings and discussions, the team mapped out the specific goals the new marketecture diagram needed to achieve, from clarifying complex concepts for potential clients to aligning with Eastnets’ broader strategic vision. Each department brought valuable insights: the product team highlighted key features and functionalities to emphasise, the sales team identified what resonated most with clients, and the marketing team ensured the design reflected Eastnets’ brand identity and messaging.
This collaborative approach allowed Hypaspace to craft a diagram that addressed the needs of all stakeholders. The result was a clean, cohesive, and visually striking design that was scalable and responsive. This transformation not only enhanced clarity but also equipped Eastnets with a powerful tool to communicate their solutions effectively to both internal and external audiences.
